Schedule:
- Night shifts
- 3x12 hours per week (36 hours guaranteed)
- Block scheduling approved upon request
- Weekend hours as needed; no call requirements
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license with Missouri Board of Nursing or temporary permit
- BLS and ACLS certifications (may complete during probationary/first year)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ICU/Critical Care
- Demonstrated proficiency with post-stroke care, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), use of Bipaps and Airvos, ventilated compressors, and recognizing deteriorating patients
- Flexibility to float to Med Surg or Tele as needed
- Self-starter with a team-oriented approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage diverse patient populations including medical, basic cardiac, and neuro cases in a 19-bed critical care unit
- Maintain patient ratios averaging 2-3:1 for optimal focus
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality patient outcomes
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation
- Compliance with professional dress code (black scrubs; no hoodies)
