Travel Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Union, MO

Schedule:

• Night shifts
• 3x12 hours per week (36 hours guaranteed)
• Block scheduling approved upon request
• Weekend hours as needed; no call requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license with Missouri Board of Nursing or temporary permit
• BLS and ACLS certifications (may complete during probationary/first year)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ICU/Critical Care
• Demonstrated proficiency with post-stroke care, titrating cardiac drips (Nitro, Cardizem, Amio, Esmolol), use of Bipaps and Airvos, ventilated compressors, and recognizing deteriorating patients
• Flexibility to float to Med Surg or Tele as needed
• Self-starter with a team-oriented approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage diverse patient populations including medical, basic cardiac, and neuro cases in a 19-bed critical care unit
• Maintain patient ratios averaging 2-3:1 for optimal focus
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality patient outcomes
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate documentation
• Compliance with professional dress code (black scrubs; no hoodies)
