Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Vail, CO

Deliver essential, high-acuity care as a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN license, active and in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years' recent ICU nursing experience
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (required)
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
• Proven ability to adapt swiftly in changing clinical situations
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and ICU equipment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients, monitoring vitals, administering medications, and providing interventions as directed by care teams
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment plans
• Use advanced monitoring and life-support equipment, interpreting data to inform immediate actions
• Communicate clearly with patients’ families, providing updates on care plans while demonstrating empathy and professionalism
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and uphold rigorous safety and infection control standards
• Actively participate in rounds, care planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
