Schedule/Hours:

  • 36 or 48 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Holiday shifts as needed
  • Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Key Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Nursing (required)
  • Active RN license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses)
  • AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA NIHSS (or equivalent Red Cross certifications)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred; 18 months with strong references considered
  • At least 1 year of recent ICU/CICU experience
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Willingness to float within the system
  • PALS certification preferred if planning to work in pediatric units

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional care to adult cardiac patients in an 8-bed high acuity environment
  • Monitor and respond rapidly to changes in patient conditions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during every phase of care
  • Support cross-unit and facility workflow as needed
