Travel Infusion RN in Quincy, MA

A travel opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized skills in infusion nursing, focusing on oncology care. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of oncology infusion experience within an academic medical center (AMC), at least 1 year of outpatient experience, and 1 year of travel nursing experience. Strong IV skills and clinical assessments, along with proven expertise managing complex gastrointestinal (GI) chemotherapy regimens, are essential. ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification is required.

Location
This assignment is based in Quincy, Massachusetts, a vibrant city with historic charm and scenic coastline views. Quincy offers convenient access to the greater Boston area, combining urban amenities with a welcoming community atmosphere.

Schedule/Hours

• 36-hour work weeks
• Day shifts: 7 AM to 7 PM or 8 AM to 8 PM
• Rotating every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care for oncology patients receiving infusion therapies
• Administer and monitor complex GI oncology treatment regimens
• Perform thorough patient assessments and manage IV access effectively
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 2 years oncology infusion experience at an academic medical center
• At least 1 year of outpatient infusion experience
• At least 1 year of experience as a travel nurse
• Strong IV insertion and assessment skills
• ONS certification is mandatory
