Advance your nursing career within a dynamic Interventional Radiology (IR) setting. This 13-week contract role offers a unique opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to work closely with expert teams performing advanced radiologic procedures. As an RN in IR, you’ll play a key role in patient care before, during, and after minimally invasive interventions.
Schedule/Hours:
- 5 days per week
- 7.5-hour shifts
- Rotating through the following shifts: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, or 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Qualifications:
- Active NJ RN License
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Previous experience in Interventional Radiology nursing (preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and IV skills
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing IR procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and sedation levels, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Recognize and intervene in adverse reactions or complications promptly
