Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Type: Contract (13-week duration)
Shift: 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday; no weekend rotation
An opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses skilled in Interventional Radiology to contribute in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment is available at a leading teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation. The role supports a department managing 50-60 patients daily in both adult and pediatric care across emergency, ICU, outpatient, and regular nursing units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing radiology exams and interventional procedures.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records and department-specific equipment such as iSTAT and POC devices.
- Participate in call rotations shared fairly among full-time and travel staff, including holiday coverage with prior approval.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and participate in orientation including facility and unit tours and five days of department-specific training.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse licensure with at least 1 year of experience in interventional radiology or relevant clinical settings.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- Strong clinical skills with confidence to operate in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a helpful attitude are essential.
