Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- Demonstrated experience in Interventional Radiology or similar procedural settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and IV skills
- Familiarity with monitoring and moderate sedation administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with pre-procedure patient assessments and education
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields while adhering to infection control standards
- Support radiologists and physicians during interventions, monitoring patient status throughout
- Administer moderate sedation and monitor patient response as indicated
- Document all care delivered and observations in the electronic medical record accurately
- Manage post-procedural patient recovery and provide discharge instructions
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in patient condition
