This contract assignment is designed for an experienced Interventional Radiology technologist ready to contribute advanced skills in a busy clinical setting. The facility seeks a dependable professional to assist with complex diagnostic and neuro-interventional vascular procedures, collaborating closely with radiologists, vascular surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams.
Schedule:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week or four 10-hour shifts
- On-call requirement every 4th weekend and 1 day per week
- 36 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist, with New Jersey radiographic licensure required
- High School Diploma/GED and Associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program
- NJ state radiographic licensure and current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT
- BLS certification from an approved provider
- Proficiency in operating both floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
- Demonstrated ability to critically think through complex cases and maintain infection prevention protocols
- Solid documentation skills using EMR and Sectra/PACs system
Core Responsibilities:
- Scrub-assist proceduralists during intricate vascular and neuro-interventional procedures
- Identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products needed during interventional procedures
- Operate power injection of iodinated contrast media devices safely
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure careful set-up of procedural trays
- Prioritize closed-loop communication within a dynamic team environment
- Provide vigilant groin management post interventions
- Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, evolving environment
