Take on a vital role in a dynamic Interventional Radiology department, where specialized nursing skills make a significant impact on patient outcomes. This 13-week assignment is ideal for registered nurses with IR experience who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment and are ready to deliver exceptional care in advanced radiology procedures.
Schedule:
- 5 days per week, 7.5 hours per day
- Rotating shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Weekly schedule will include rotation through each shift
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proven nursing experience in Interventional Radiology (IR)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and maintain composure in a busy procedural setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, proficient nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals throughout diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Monitor and manage patient status before, during, and after procedures, reacting quickly to changes
- Administer medications and IV sedation as needed, adhering strictly to protocols
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and post-care instructions
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly
