Take on a vital role supporting Interventional Radiology procedures as an experienced Registered Nurse. In this contract position, you will work collaboratively with radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Schedule:
- 5 days a week, 7.5 hours per day
- Shifts will vary, rotating weekly: 7:00am–3:00pm, 7:30am–3:30pm, 8:00am–4:00pm, or 9:00am–5:00pm
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey RN license required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications
- Prior experience in Interventional Radiology nursing (RN – IR) necessary
- Strong knowledge of moderate sedation, sterile techniques, and vascular access
- Exceptional clinical judgment, communication, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities and support a collaborative procedure suite
Key Responsibilities:
- Support radiologists during complex minimally invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
- Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs and status before, during, and after IR procedures
- Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies in alignment with strict sterile protocols
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation per hospital policy and state regulations
- Provide clear patient education pre- and post-procedure, offering compassionate guidance and addressing concerns
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and ancillary staff to maintain efficient workflow and excellent patient outcomes
