An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Interventional Radiology RN to contribute their expertise in a dynamic, specialized clinical environment. This position is based within a dedicated radiology-special procedures department and offers a contract assignment focused on supporting intricate diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional procedures.

Schedule:

  • 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts per week
  • On-call rotation: every 4th weekend and 1 day each week
  • Typical work week: 36 hours, part-time

Qualifications:

  • NJ radiographic licensure required
  • Active Radiography (R) certification with ARRT
  • Valid BLS certification from an approved provider
  • 3-5 years’ experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with NJ radiographic licensure
  • Proficiency in floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic equipment
  • High school diploma/GED and Associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program

Responsibilities:

  • Assist proceduralists with complex vascular and neuro-interventional cases, scrubbing at the procedural table
  • Circulate and prepare complex products and supplies during interventions
  • Operate power injection devices for iodinated contrast media administration
  • Recognize, retrieve, and manage devices required for advanced interventional procedures
  • Maintain strict sterile techniques and infection prevention during procedures
  • Manage post-procedural groin care
  • Contribute to a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team with effective closed-loop communication
  • Document encounters in the electronic medical record and send images to appropriate PACS systems
  • Respond adeptly in a fast-paced setting, ensuring high standards of patient care
