Registered Nurse IR - Farmington, New York

Experienced Registered Nurses are needed to support interventional radiology procedures in a dynamic medical setting. Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position; specific schedule details provided during interview process

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting physicians with interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access
• Monitoring patient status before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal outcomes
• Administering medications and conscious sedation as ordered
• Managing and monitoring IV lines, vital signs, and patient comfort
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and deliver clear communication to patients and families
• Adhering to established protocols for infection control, safety, and quality assurance
• Providing patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care
• Documenting all nursing activities, assessments, and interventions accurately in patient records

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Interventional Radiology nursing (IR)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and IV skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in an acute care environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with radiology equipment and conscious sedation protocols preferred
