As a Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR), you will collaborate closely with a skilled healthcare team to provide outstanding patient care throughout diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or related specialty (critical care, ER, or OR experience is also valued)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, monitoring, and conscious sedation administration
  • Excellent communication abilities and a calm, supportive demeanor
  • Proficient with IV skills, sterile field maintenance, and EMR documentation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
  • Monitor patient status, manage sedation, and respond promptly to clinical changes
  • Assist radiologists and technologists during sophisticated imaging and interventions
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, efficient care transitions
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedural care, and discharge instructions
  • Adhere to infection control standards, hospital protocols, and safety requirements
