Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) | Leonardtown, Maryland

A dynamic healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in Interventional Radiology (IR) to step into a vital role within their dedicated team. This contract position caters exclusively to vascular procedures, providing a focused and highly specialized environment. The current IR RN will be transitioning out mid-August, making this an immediate full-time opportunity for qualified candidates.

Schedule/Hours

• Full-time contract assignment

Qualifications

• Active RN license, in good standing
• Minimum of two years’ experience in Interventional Radiology/IR nursing
• Demonstrated proficiency in vascular procedures such as PE, thrombectomies, DVT management, angiograms, fistulas, and nephrostomies
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Positive references and willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care during all vascular interventional radiology procedures
• Monitor patient status and provide immediate interventions as needed throughout procedures
• Coordinate pre-procedural patient assessments and post-procedural care instructions
• Collaborate closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Document all care activities and maintain accurate patient records
• Provide patient education and support as needed before, during, and after procedures
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere strictly to infection control standards
