This assignment responds to a confirmed staffing need, filling the upcoming vacancy when the current IR RN transitions out in mid-August. Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time contract assignment
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license with current standing
- Recent experience in Interventional Radiology nursing required
- Solid background in vascular procedures (PE, thrombectomies, DVTs, angiograms, fistulas, nephrostomies)
- Excellent critical thinking and rapid assessment skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care for patients undergoing IR vascular procedures
- Monitor and assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, managing complications promptly
- Facilitate patient safety by upholding strict protocols and infection prevention measures
- Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure expectations
- Document all activities and observations accurately in the electronic medical record
- Work closely with radiologists and the healthcare team to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care
