An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) to provide expert care in a busy, all-vascular IR environment. This position is essential to maintaining high-quality patient care as the current IR RN transitions out mid-August. The clinical focus includes PE, thrombectomies, DVT, angiograms, fistulas, nephrostomies, and related procedures—no cath lab, neuro, or stroke cases required.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license
  • Minimum of one year recent experience in Interventional Radiology nursing
  • Demonstrated proficiency assisting with vascular procedures such as PE, thrombectomies, DVT, angiograms, and nephrostomies
  • Strong IV skills and familiarity with sedation protocols
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, and support staff
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing vascular IR procedures
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after interventions, responding swiftly to changes in condition
  • Collaborate closely with the IR procedural team to prepare rooms, equipment, and medications
  • Deliver patient and family education regarding procedures, post-procedure care, and recovery instructions
  • Ensure timely and thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
  • Uphold all clinical policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols
