Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Previous experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) required
- Proficiency in vascular procedures such as PE, thrombectomies, DVT, angiograms, fistulas, and nephrostomies
- Comfort working exclusively on vascular cases (no neuro, stroke, or cath procedures involved)
- Strong critical thinking and crisis management abilities
- Commitment to excellent patient communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout all interventional processes
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after vascular IR procedures
- Prepare procedure suites, assist physicians during interventions, and manage necessary equipment
- Administer IV medications, monitor sedation, and respond swiftly to any complications
- Provide detailed education and support to patients and their families regarding procedures and post-intervention care
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality initiatives as assigned
