Registered Nurse IR - Lusby, MD

A rewarding nursing assignment is available for a skilled RN with experience in Interventional Radiology. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing exclusively on all vascular procedures without neuro or stroke cases. The team is seeking a dedicated nurse to step in as the current IR RN transitions out, ensuring uninterrupted patient care.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology nursing is preferred
• Proficiency in assisting with vascular procedures such as PE, thrombectomies, DVT, angiograms, fistulas, and nephrostomies
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong critical thinking skills and ability to respond calmly under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Schedule:

• Full time, contract assignment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care throughout interventional radiology procedures
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
• Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
• Assist with room preparation, supply management, and post-procedure patient education
