A rewarding nursing assignment is available for a skilled RN with experience in Interventional Radiology. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, focusing exclusively on all vascular procedures without neuro or stroke cases. The team is seeking a dedicated nurse to step in as the current IR RN transitions out, ensuring uninterrupted patient care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology nursing is preferred
- Proficiency in assisting with vascular procedures such as PE, thrombectomies, DVT, angiograms, fistulas, and nephrostomies
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to respond calmly under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Schedule:
- Full time, contract assignment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care throughout interventional radiology procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety protocols
- Assist with room preparation, supply management, and post-procedure patient education
