Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Interventional Radiology nursing
• Demonstrated proficiency in assisting with IR procedures, including vascular access, biopsies, catheter placements, and embolizations
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (current)
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, patient sedation, and post-procedure care
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to perform well both independently and within a collaborative team
• Experience with electronic health records documentation is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures
• Administer conscious sedation and monitor patient response throughout procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile procedure environments
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
• Monitor and manage patient vital signs and comfort, responding promptly to changes
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, aftercare, and any follow-up appointments
• Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
