An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced registered nurse to provide expert care in interventional radiology. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care during complex diagnostic and vascular procedures.
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- Three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
- On-call every fourth weekend and one day per week
- Start date: 08/24/2026
- Assignment ends: 11/21/2026
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with active NJ radiographic licensure
- Current Radiography (R) certification with ARRT
- BLS certification through an approved AHA provider, demonstrating skill in basic life support
- High school diploma/GED and associate degree or completion of an accredited radiographic program
- Familiarity with floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic machines
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain sterile technique and uphold infection prevention measures
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist proceduralists during complex interventional and neuro-interventional vascular procedures, including scrubbing alongside specialty providers
- Operate power injection devices for iodinated contrast media during both diagnostic and interventional cases
- Retrieve and circulate complex products and supplies during procedures
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records and send images to Sectra/PACS
- Provide effective post-intervention groin management
- Uphold infection prevention, sterile field setup, and closed-loop communication within the care team
