Registered Nurse IR - Paterson, NJ

Advance your career as a skilled Interventional Radiology RN in a dynamic clinical setting. This contract opportunity requires a detail-oriented professional with strong procedural and technical expertise to support a multidisciplinary team handling complex diagnostic and interventional cases. Your contributions will directly impact patient care and outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour shifts, or four 10-hour shifts per week
• On-call duty one day each week and every fourth weekend
• 36 hours per week, part-time

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as an Interventional Radiologic Technologist or Cardiovascular Technologist with New Jersey radiographic licensure
• High school diploma/GED and an associate degree, or completion of an accredited radiographic program
• Current New Jersey radiographic licensure
• Certification in Radiography (R) through ARRT
• BLS certification from an approved provider, demonstrating skill in basic life support
• Proficiency with floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopy and power injection devices
• Strong knowledge of electronic documentation (EMR) and image transfer systems (Sectra/PACS)
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in closed loop communication
• Ability to maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention protocols

Responsibilities:

• Assist proceduralists during advanced diagnostic and interventional vascular and neuro-interventional cases
• Scrub in for cases, operate complex imaging modalities, circulate products, and manage groin post-intervention
• Set up procedural trays and maintain sterile field for cases
• Operate power contrast injection devices safely
• Contribute positively to a team including nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons
• Provide high-quality patient care under time constraints
