Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an RN in Interventional Radiology or a comparable acute care environment.
• Advanced knowledge of IR procedures, patient monitoring, and sterile technique.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient assessment skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, radiologic technologists, and other multidisciplinary team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile fields, and assist physicians during IR treatments such as angiograms, biopsies, and catheter placements.
• Administer moderate sedation, monitor patient responses, and respond quickly to changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, expected outcomes, and post-procedural care.
• Document all aspects of care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols at all times.
