Registered Nurse IR - Pittsford, New York

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time schedule, based on departmental needs

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license (required)
• Strong background in interventional radiology nursing
• Experience assisting with IR procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current)
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
• Monitor patients for changes in status, promptly reporting concerns to physicians
• Administer medications and IV sedation as appropriate
• Maintain sterile technique and assist interventional radiologists throughout procedures
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and post-care instructions
• Document all care provided in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to promote positive patient outcomes
