Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) | Providence, Rhode Island

An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse experienced in Interventional Radiology. This specialized position calls for someone who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is comfortable supporting both body and neuro cases, including stroke interventions.

Schedule/Hours

• 7:00am–5:30pm or 8:00am–6:30pm shifts
• Call required 1–2 nights per week (call starts at 6:30pm to 7:00am after the 8:00am–6:30pm shift)
• Weekend call requirement: One weekend (Saturday 7:00am to Monday 7:00am) every 5–8 weeks
• Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes when needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid and active RN license in Rhode Island
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated proficiency in Interventional Radiology nursing
• Experience assisting in both body and neuro cases, including stroke interventions
• Comfort managing high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to accommodate varied shifts and on-call requirements
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communications skills

Preferred Experience

• Recent hospital-based IR experience highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate nursing care during IR procedures
• Collaborate with radiology and medical teams to ensure seamless case management, including data collection and technical support
• Respond efficiently to acute events and support procedures involving neurological and stroke interventions
• Adhere to stringent patient safety and infection control protocols
• Accurately document procedure details and patient outcomes
• Participate in team briefings, workflow improvement, and cross-disciplinary education

$2,393 - $2,532/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
