This contract role is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in IR procedures, who is committed to quality patient care and excels in a collaborative clinical setting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in interventional radiology nursing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Proficient in preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Strong IV skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Willingness to function as part of a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after IR procedures
  • Monitor patients for signs of complications and respond appropriately
  • Administer medications, sedation, and contrast agents as directed
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiology staff to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document interventions
  • Ensure all equipment is utilized safely and procedures are performed according to established protocols
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnostic procedures and post-procedure care
