Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Advanced knowledge of radiology protocols, equipment, and sterile techniques
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a procedural care setting
  • Proficiency with IV starts, moderate sedation, and patient monitoring during procedures
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide skilled nursing care and monitoring throughout radiology procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists and technologists to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Prepare and educate patients for procedures, addressing questions and concerns
  • Administer medications, including sedation, as directed by providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control protocols
  • Respond to changes in patient condition, performing rapid assessments and initiating appropriate interventions
