Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid RN license in the state
• Minimum of one year recent experience in Interventional Radiology nursing or related procedural care
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong IV skills and experience with conscious sedation
• Excellent assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities
• Experience monitoring patients during complex IR procedures

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures from pre-operative assessment through post-procedural recovery
• Monitor patient status, administer medications and sedation agents, and handle emergency situations swiftly and effectively
• Assist interventional radiologists and physicians with a variety of procedures (e.g., PICC line placements, angiograms, biopsies)
• Maintain sterile environments, adhere to infection control protocols, and ensure all equipment is functioning properly
• Deliver clear communication and education to patients and families regarding procedural expectations and post-care instructions
• Document care in accordance with hospital standards and regulatory guidelines
