Key Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year of experience in Interventional Radiology or relevant procedural setting
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency in monitoring patients, administering conscious sedation, and responding to emergencies
- Strong IV skills and experience with vascular access
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
- Experience collaborating with physicians, technologists, and other team members
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for IR procedures, conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments, and provide education regarding interventions
- Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout procedures, promptly identifying and responding to changes
- Administer medications, including intravenous sedatives and analgesics, per protocol and physician direction
- Maintain a sterile field and uphold infection control standards to ensure patient safety
- Assist physicians with technical tasks throughout IR cases, providing support for a variety of vascular and non-vascular interventions
- Document all patient interactions and procedural details accurately and thoroughly
- Engage in post-procedure assessments and contribute to ongoing patient care planning
