Advance your nursing career by providing specialized care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR), eager to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology or comparable procedural settings
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficient in conscious sedation administration, vascular access, and pre/post procedural care
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Familiarity with maintaining a sterile field and assisting with complex procedures
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in condition
- Administer medications, including moderate sedation, as ordered
- Serve as a liaison between radiology, the patient, and their family; educate on procedures and aftercare
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Document all aspects of nursing care accurately in the electronic health record
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in compliance with hospital standards
