This contract opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with experience in Interventional Radiology (IR), eager to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Interventional Radiology or comparable procedural settings
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Proficient in conscious sedation administration, vascular access, and pre/post procedural care
  • Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Familiarity with maintaining a sterile field and assisting with complex procedures

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes in condition
  • Administer medications, including moderate sedation, as ordered
  • Serve as a liaison between radiology, the patient, and their family; educate on procedures and aftercare
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Document all aspects of nursing care accurately in the electronic health record
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in compliance with hospital standards
