Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Alabaster, AL

Desired Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum one year of recent Med Surg experience preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Solid skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Current BLS certification (required)

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and record patient symptoms and progress
• Administer medications and provide treatments according to physician orders
• Coordinate patient care plans, collaborating with physicians and allied health staff
• Deliver patient education and support to families, addressing concerns and questions
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in patient records
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment, adhering to facility and regulatory standards
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Supervise and provide guidance to nursing assistants and ancillary staff as needed
