This opportunity will immerse you in a dynamic 44-bed medical-surgical environment, supported by a dedicated staff of 40. Expand your clinical expertise through exposure to different leadership styles and best practices that elevate your professional journey.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts, 6:45 to 7:15
- Alternating weekends required
- Holidays as needed
Qualifications:
- RN license with at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience (including 1 previous travel assignment)
- Current AHA BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred, but not mandatory
- Comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6
- Team player open to floating within acute and cardio care areas as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a 44-bed unit
- Partner with a supportive team and nurse aides (CNA ratios 1:8, occasionally 1:10)
- Adapt to a fast-paced medical-surgical setting, caring for a range of patient needs
- Attend a comprehensive 1-week orientation (including 2 days of focused unit training)
- Wear Caribbean Blue scrubs in alignment with unit requirements
