Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am
  • Rotating weekends (every other weekend)
  • No call required
  • Holiday rotation (75% coverage expected)
  • 6-week schedule cycles

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients (e.g., stroke, chest pain, COPD, GI bleed)
  • Perform advanced nursing skills: neurological assessments, chest tube and trach care, cardiac monitoring, medication drips (heparin, cardiac), blood product administration
  • Initiate and manage tubes/drains (Dobhoff, PEG, JP, Hemovac, foley)
  • Monitor telemetry, interpret cardiac rhythms, and respond to acute changes
  • Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team; participate in floating to other regional facilities as needed
  • Leverage EMR (Epic), Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Philips monitoring systems

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • At least 18 months’ recent Med Surg/Tele experience
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke certification
  • Proficiency in Med/Tele skills (neurological monitoring, IV/PIV starts, trach care)
  • Strong adaptability to float across multiple facilities within the region
