Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) | Albemarle, North Carolina

As a Med Surg/Tele RN in this regional healthcare setting, you’ll gain exposure to a broad range of diagnoses including stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleeds. This is an exceptional chance to strengthen your clinical acumen while working alongside experienced interdisciplinary teams. You’ll become adept in modern EMR systems (Epic), specialized patient assessments (NIHSS), and advanced medication/drip management, setting the stage for true professional growth.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday work: 75% of holidays required
• No on-call obligations

Key Qualifications:

• Current RN license and active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 18 months recent Med/Tele experience
• Proficient with stroke care/NIH assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and complex drain/tube management
• Familiarity with Epic, Alaris, Omnicell, and Philips Monitors highly preferred
• Strong adaptability for multi-site floating within your scope

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide evidence-based, compassionate care to a diverse Med Surg/Tele population
• Manage cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and PCAs
• Collaborate with CNAs, Respiratory Therapists, and a supportive multidisciplinary team
• Ensure timely, accurate documentation within EMR
• Float within the regional network as needed
