This contract opportunity offers day shifts (7AM-7PM) with the requirement to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to various care settings, including the potential to work on a lockdown unit.
Schedule:
- 7AM to 7PM shifts
- 13-week assignment
- Opportunity for overtime after 48 hours
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Michigan
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Med Surg setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- Strong clinical skills, flexibility, and professional adaptability
- Preferred: Base telemetry experience
- Willingness to float to units of equal or lower acuity, including a lockdown unit
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Perform thorough assessments, implement appropriate nursing interventions, and document care accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
- Respond to changes in patient status promptly, using critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Float between units as needed to meet patient care needs, maintaining the highest standard of practice
