Step into a vital role as a Registered Nurse with a focus on Medical-Surgical and Intermediate Care in a dynamic telemetry unit. This contract opportunity centers on delivering patient-centered care to a diverse population, offering a stimulating environment with advanced technology and a supportive team. The unit consists of 37 beds and a collaboration of experienced RNs, patient care techs, and support staff who provide high-quality care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, heart catheterization recovery, and other complex medical needs.

Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating shifts as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license without restrictions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Prior experience in a telemetry or Intermediate Care/Med-Surg unit preferred
• Exceptional critical thinking and independence
• Positive, collaborative attitude suited for a fast-paced setting

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with central lines, medication drips, and heart catheterization recovery
• Familiarity with PCA and IV pumps, chest tubes, and Meditech EMR
• Enjoyment in working with a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry and post-cardiac procedure patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer prescribed treatments, and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Document care in the Meditech EMR system with accuracy and detail
• Adhere to established unit policies, maintaining high standards for safety and patient experience
