Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Andover, KS

Step into a dynamic Intermediate Care (IMU) environment supporting patient recovery and continuous monitoring on a well-established 37-bed telemetry unit. The multidisciplinary team values collaboration, innovation, and a positive workplace culture. Work on an advanced floor equipped with PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes, utilizing Meditech EMR to deliver high-quality patient care.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)

Key Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and strong background in Med-Surg or Telemetry nursing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Solid experience handling PCA and IV pumps, chest tubes, and telemetry monitoring
• Demonstrated proficiency in central lines, medication drips, and post-heart cath recovery
• Excellent critical thinking, effective communication, and ability to remain calm under pressure
• Welcomes feedback, displays a positive and engaged attitude, and works independently as well as collaboratively

Role Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and manage the care of patients with a variety of medical and post-procedural needs
• Implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans with precision
• Oversee patient safety by adhering to evidence-based practice, unit guidelines, and hospital policies
• Participate actively in heart cath recovery and support advanced cardiac monitoring procedures
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, and unit colleagues regarding treatment plans and care protocols
