Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Antioch, TN

Nurses with strong Med Surg experience seeking a dynamic opportunity will thrive in this contract role within a Med/Surg Float Pool in Antioch, TN. Candidates will work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.), floating between five Med/Surg units and occasionally to the Emergency Department as needed. This contract offers a robust and varied clinical environment focused on adult and general medical/surgical populations.

Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
• Weekend shifts required
• Unit creates the work schedule
• Contract role with orientation available on 5/11 or 5/18

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee RN license or compact state license must be on file at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN Med Surg experience required
• Prior travel experience in similar settings
• Current BLS certification
• Comfortable floating between units and to the ER as needed
• Experience using Cerner EMR preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals aged 18+, primarily within general Med/Surg units
• Provide care at nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1–6, adjusting as census demands
• Adapt quickly to new units, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Follow strict documentation and compliance protocols utilizing Cerner EMR
• Wear navy scrubs as the required uniform
