This travel assignment offers a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while expanding your clinical experience in trauma surgical, neuro, and orthopedic patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical patients with trauma surgical, neuro, and orthopedic conditions
• Maintain an appropriate patient ratio of 1:5 during 12-hour day shifts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and float across ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed
• Adhere to charting protocols using EPIC within the last two years
• Participate actively in holiday rotations and weekend shifts every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license and AHA BLS certification required; NIHSS certification is also mandatory
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience with at least 2 years in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Prior travel nursing experience and familiarity with EPIC documentation within the last 2 years
• Proven ability to manage change effectively and work well under pressure
• Skilled in neuro/ortho trauma care
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the corporate campus
• Professional appearance with black scrub colors as uniform

This assignment begins ASAP with guaranteed 36 hours per week, excluding holiday unit closures. Orientation involves an 8-hour unbillable session, ensuring you are fully prepared to excel. This is a travel role, offering flexibility to relocate and gain diverse clinical exposure.
