Qualifications:

  • Current and active RN license
  • At least one year of recent nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical setting
  • BLS certification (AHA preferred)
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and utilize critical thinking in high-volume settings
  • Solid patient documentation and charting skills

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract assignment; full-time schedule
  • 40 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized nursing care for a diverse adult patient population across med surg units
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members for optimal care planning
  • Administer medication, treatments, and routine procedures according to best practices
  • Monitor patient progress, document observations, and report changes promptly
  • Educate patients and their families about procedures, diagnoses, and continuing care needs
  • Support discharge planning and patient advocacy initiatives
