Deliver exceptional patient care in an orthopedic hospital unit, working night shifts (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) on a 13-week contract. Enjoy guaranteed weekly hours (your choice of 36 or 48), and contribute to a team known for excellence and compassion. The unit features 30 beds, a manageable 1:6 patient ratio, and uses EPIC for electronic charting.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license, eligible for practice in Missouri
  • At least 2 years of inpatient orthopedic nursing experience
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (preferred)
  • Ability to float to similar or lower acuity units as necessary
  • Willingness to comply with facility dress code (black scrubs), vaccination requirements (seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption November 1–April 1), and orientation protocols

Schedule & Shifts:

  • Night shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
  • 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (please indicate preference)
  • Every other weekend as required
  • No on-call obligations
  • Orientation on day shift (must be available full week)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective direct patient care—assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for post-trauma, surgical, and medically complex patients.
  • Coordinate care activities among nursing and ancillary departments to optimize outcomes.
  • Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of care, maintaining accountability for quality and standards.
  • Support a team-oriented, flexible, and dependable work environment.
