Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Atlanta, GA

Advance your nursing experience supporting adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic Med/Surg unit with a focus on renal care. This contract opportunity offers valuable exposure to a broad patient population and the chance to work closely with a multidisciplinary team in a well-equipped clinical setting.

Schedule:

• Day shifts: 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Maximum of 7 requested days off
• Expectation to work major holidays as outlined within assignment period

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (first-time travelers encouraged to apply)
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency in adult-to-geriatric nursing care, Med/Surg with renal emphasis
• Experience in HD cath management, manual PD/PD cycler, sepsis care, telemetry monitoring, ETOH (CIWA), UTI, CKD, and hypertensive emergencies
• Ability to work with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation systems
• Comfortable managing patient ratios of 1:6 in a 20-room unit with average daily census of 18

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with diverse medical and renal conditions
• Perform critical interventions including managing sepsis, HD caths, PD cyclers, and responding to clinical emergencies
• Accurately document assessments and interventions using Epic/EHR systems
• Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary team and contribute to care planning via the SBAR method
• Float to other units as needed to support patient care across the facility
• Adhere strictly to compliance and orientation requirements to ensure smooth onboarding

• Navy, white, or combination scrubs required
• No on-call obligations
