As a key team member on a high-acuity surgery trauma unit, you’ll expand your clinical expertise with diverse patient populations, including spinal, neuro, trauma, and complex surgical cases such as gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, and paraplegia. Working alongside nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and night-time unit secretaries, you'll refine your skills in a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and supports advanced practice. Schedule/Hours:

• Must be available for designated shifts (block scheduling not available).
• No requests for time off (RTO) during assignment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license; BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in med-surg, trauma, or similar specialty.
• EPIC experience required.
• Strong adaptability for high-acuity and fast-paced scenarios.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care for trauma and post-operative surgical patients.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including support techs and ED staff for thorough handoffs.
• Accurately document patient data using EPIC.
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1, delivering high standards of care.
