Registered Nurse Med Surg | Battle Creek, Michigan

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Recent experience working in a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) setting
• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices and procedures
• Strong patient assessment, critical thinking, and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• American Heart Association BLS certification (additional ACLS preferred)
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult med-surg populations
• Assess, monitor, and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, medications, and health maintenance
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and ancillary staff for coordinated treatment plans
• Document nursing activities and patient progress in electronic health records (EHR)
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols, state, and federal healthcare regulations
