This travel nursing role places you on a dynamic medical oncology unit caring for patients with cancer diagnoses, medical step-down needs, and general medical conditions. Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with Med Surg experience (Medical-Surgical experience required)
• Experience or basic knowledge in oncology and the pathophysiology of cancer preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Proficiency in medication administration, patient transfers, and use of clinical technology

Primary Responsibilities:

• Consistently assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing care in alignment with the physician-authorized care plan and recognized standards of practice
• Deliver direct nursing care including patient assessment, administering medications, treatments, attending to call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and patient condition, collaborating with colleagues to revise and enhance individualized care plans
• Accurately process provider orders and deliver physician-ordered care in a thorough and timely manner
• Follow up on medication changes and clarify orders as needed to ensure patient safety
