This dynamic 8-week assignment demands flexibility, resilience, and teamwork. You’ll have guaranteed 48 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts (no blocked scheduling), providing ample opportunity to enhance your clinical experience in surgical, ortho, and telemetry units. With a strong focus on collaboration and cross-training, you’ll float throughout all inpatient areas and occasionally assist as an aide, ensuring significant exposure to a range of acute care scenarios. Interacting with seasoned clinicians and a multidisciplinary leadership team, you’ll gain valuable insight into varied care models—expanding both your resume and professional confidence.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active KY or Compact RN license required.
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry; Level I or II Trauma experience required.
- Ability to read/interpet tele strips and familiarity with CareView/EPIC preferred; onsite training available.
- EKG test required during compliance process.
- COVID vaccination required unless declination accepted; weekly testing required if declined.
- Team-oriented, resilient, and adaptable professionals strongly preferred.
- Must wear black scrubs.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care in Med/Surg and Telemetry settings.
- Efficiently manage patient ratios (typically 1:6) in busy, evolving units.
- Float to all inpatient areas, adapting to diverse patient needs and colleagues.
- Work every other weekend/holiday as scheduled; flexibility required.
