Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Bessemer, AL

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in Med Surg (Medical-Surgical) nursing
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and promptly report changes in conditions
• Collaborate closely with physicians and allied health professionals to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on procedures, treatments, and ongoing care requirements
• Accurately document all aspects of care in the electronic medical record system
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients
• Provide support during admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Uphold infection control procedures and hospital protocols at all times
