Registered Nurse Med Surg | Bessemer, Alabama

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• Proven med/surg nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage patients with both behavioral health and acute medical needs
• Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication, patience, and adaptability
• Experience working with interdisciplinary care teams is an asset

Schedule & Contract Details:

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care to patients with co-occurring medical and behavioral health conditions
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, and execute physician orders
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and manage changes in patient condition
• Communicate effectively with medical and behavioral health teams to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Provide education, support, and advocacy for patients and families during their stay
• Adhere to facility policies, safety guidelines, and best practices in patient care

$1,909 - $2,013/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
