Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) in Bessemer, AL

Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a medical-surgical (Med Surg) environment
• Proficiency in patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking abilities
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with varying diagnoses on a busy Med Surg unit
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Monitor, report, and document patient status and responses to treatment accurately
• Administer medications, therapies, and interventions in accordance with established protocols
• Deliver patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Maintain infection control and safety standards throughout all patient care activities
• Respond promptly and effectively to changes in patient conditions or emergencies

$1,620 - $1,763/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
