Travel Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Bessemer City, North Carolina

You’ll join a 24-bed MedSurg/Tele unit with a census that matches bed count, providing valuable hands-on experience with a wide variety of diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, and neuro cases. This assignment enriches your clinical knowledge, builds your confidence working with leading-edge technology like EPIC EMR and Massimo monitors, and introduces you to collaborative support teams ranging from respiratory therapy to 24/7 intensivists. Schedule/Hours

• 24-bed unit, fast-paced environment
• Float within region and scope of practice as required
• Paid time when floating mid-shift between sites

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 18 months of MedSurg/Tele experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 6 months experience with EPIC EMR (please include specifics in application)
• Confident cardiac rhythm interpretation and experience with non-titrating drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone)
• Strong general med/surg skills, including IV starts, blood products, wound care, and tube/drain management
• First-time travelers welcome

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to diverse medical/surgical/telemetry patients
• Interpret cardiac rhythms, manage IVs and non-titrating drips
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and administer blood products
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and charge nurse resource
• Float within assigned regional facilities as required
