Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Birmingham, AL

Seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) setting. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated RN comfortable working with a diverse patient population and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes.

Schedule & Duration:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts
• 13-week engagement

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license in good standing
• Recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (RN-MS/RN-Med Surg)
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• BLS certification required; additional certifications (such as ACLS) are a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care following physician orders and established protocols
• Monitor, assess, and record patient vital signs and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and wound care as needed
• Coordinate care with healthcare professionals including physicians, allied health staff, and case managers
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
