Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - Birmingham, AL

Schedule:

• 7:00 am – 7:00 pm shifts

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med Surg nursing experience
• BLS certification (additional certifications preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and patient needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to adult patients on a medical-surgical unit, managing acute and chronic conditions
• Conduct assessments, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient progress
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document observations, interventions, and outcomes accurately in patient records
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families throughout the care process
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with facility protocols and standards
