Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Birmingham, AL

Deliver exceptional care as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry. This contract assignment offers the opportunity to support patient wellness and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Recent experience in both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
• Strong EKG monitoring and interpretation skills
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly in acute situations
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
• Excellent communication, assessment, and critical-thinking abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and ongoing monitoring in a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry setting
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, address arrhythmias, and intervene according to protocols
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and document all care provided
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery steps
• Collaborate with physicians and allied health professionals to coordinate care
• Adhere to infection control procedures and safety standards
