Travel Med Surg RN – Neurosurgery | Birmingham, AL

A leading academic medical center in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN to join its Neurosurgery unit. This assignment is ideal for nurses who enjoy caring for patients recovering from neurological procedures, spinal surgeries, and other complex neurosurgical conditions. You'll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team while gaining valuable experience in one of Alabama's premier healthcare systems.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

• ASAP Start
• 13-week travel contract
• Day Shift
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Weekly Pay:
  • 36 Hours: $2,002/week
  • 48 Hours: $2,662/week
• NIHSS and BLS required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide nursing care for neurosurgical patients throughout recovery
• Perform neurological assessments and monitor for changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge planning

REQUIREMENTS

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg experience
• BLS required
• NIHSS required
• Travel experience preferred, but first-time travelers are welcome
