Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) | Bristol, Connecticut

This travel RN position offers a unique opportunity to work in an inpatient hold setting, where you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support patients with varying levels of acuity. If you have the flexibility to care for patients with both Med-Surg and Emergency Department needs, you’ll further enrich your clinical expertise. Schedule/Hours:

• 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Recent experience in Med-Surg environments (inpatient settings preferred)
• Ability to care for a range of inpatient acuity levels; experience with ED patients a plus
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills
• BLS certification (other certifications may be required by the facility)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med-Surg and ED patients as assignment requires
• Collaborate with providers, interdisciplinary teams, and patients’ families
• Monitor, document, and assess patients’ conditions and treatment responses
• Safeguard patient safety, maintain HIPAA compliance, and employ evidence-based practices
• Float within unit or to similar settings when needed
