Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Bristol, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• 1+ year of recent experience in Med-Surg and/or Telemetry nursing
• Proficiency in monitoring cardiac telemetry patients
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs and priorities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality patient care to those on medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly addressing any changes
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document findings, and update care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
• Educate patients and their support network on treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
