Key Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year’s experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Proficient in monitoring and interpreting telemetry rhythms
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessments and individualized care for diverse patient populations in a med-surg/telemetry setting
• Monitor, document, and interpret telemetry strips, reporting significant findings to appropriate providers
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, ensuring accuracy and patient safety
• Educate patients and their families about conditions, medications, and steps for continued recovery
• Maintain up-to-date, accurate nursing records in accordance with hospital policies
• Respond to emergencies promptly and efficiently, utilizing advanced critical thinking skills
• Engage in daily interdisciplinary rounds to coordinate effective patient care plans
