Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Bristol, Connecticut

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of one year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit
• Proficient with electronic medical records and documentation
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and organizational skills
• BLS certification (required); additional specialty certifications preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract assignment with variable shifts available
• Flexibility for day, evening, or night shifts depending on facility needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients
• Conduct patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond promptly
• Work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on condition management and post-discharge care
• Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment
